Welcome to our website! We love making movies and this website is an outlet for publishing our movies. Our favorite "star" in our flicks is Smith Weber, a very special friend that has Down Syndrome. We are currently polishing off a script that will involve a coming together of the Christian and Jewish community...Smith will star as "Jake", a kid raised in a Christian home that finds out he is adopted and that his real mother was a Jewish woman. It will be his humorous journey of discovery and exploration into the Jewish culture. We are putting our heart into this film because of our love for Israel and the Jewish people.
We are also working to finish up a documentary-style film, featuring Smith Weber, that we hope will be an encouragement to any parent finding out they have a special needs child. We want them to know that despite the challenges, it can be a real blessing! We completely a "short film" version (basically an intro) which we showed at the Local Shorts 7 Film Festival this year.
In 2008, we completed a film called, "Lilies", starring Carol Frey and Smith Weber...two very special people. It made it's debut in the Local Shorts 6 Film Festival in Albquerque, NM on July 23, 2008, where it won "Audience Pick" and "Movie Maker's Pick" awards! This short film is currently being used as a resource tool at Alta Mira Specialized Family Services, which we are thrilled about.
Our first short film starring Smith Weber was called "The Smith File", and it won "Audience Pick" and "Movie-Maker's Pick" awards at the Local Shorts 5 film festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico in August of 2007. It was also screened at the Santa Fe NM Expo and Film Festival in November, 2007. Check out our "Smith File" section for more information on the movie, cast, and our featured star, SMITH WEBER!
We also produced a couple of short films for an Intel world-wide employee video contest and one of them, "Digital World", made it to the Top 10.
On this site, we have a variety of "just for fun" films, plus a Bible Study Series films from on the Sandager Connection Class at Hoffmantown Church (which we attend), and videos that Brigette has edited for work projects at Intel.
John & Brigette work as a team. John is more the visionary, so he directs the scenes, and Brigette is the one with the patience to sit and edit them together for hours on end. We hope you enjoy our movies!
